My Hubby

I miss Tim a lot these couple of days. He's in Hong Kong visiting his mom. I was going to go with him until I came down with a cold, and I couldn't get out of bed for a few days. Those "few days" of my worst happened to land straight on the days when I was suppose to travel. Maybe it was God's plan for me to stay and get as much rest as I needed. Anyhow, I didn't go with him, and now we're apart. Tim calls me everyday, at least 5-10 times a day. He even made my mother-in-law jealous because my father-in-law didn't call her as much even though they're apart temporarily too.
I really appreciate Tim, not because others feel jealous. Not like that at all. But I really thank him from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive, encouraging, forever loving, always forgiving, kind, thoughtful, caring... I thank God for placing us to spend the rest of our lives together.
My parents snapped that picture when they came visit this month. I was really touched when I saw it because I just never notice how close we really are from the back view. I think on that day we were secretly whispering to each other about our first pregnancy test the previous night that came out to be positive. We were also unsure because we had yet to confirm it with the OB/GYN doctor until two days later.

My Niece

Tabby is 8 months old now. Her mom and I are cousins. We practically grew up together in China and immigrated to the States around the same time. I am glad my cousin and I can share motherhood together too. I am learning so much from her. Just look at her daughter. Isn't she soooooo adorable?

Newly Pregnant

I have been reading some pregnancy books, and it's exciting and nerve racking at the same time. I am glad that I just finished my school and can now concentrating on eating right and getting enough sleep, because boy oh boy...newly pregnant woman is always tired. Yup yup, I used to not understand the episode in Sex In the City when Miranda would fall asleep on her job during her pregnancy. Now it makes so much sense to me. I am lucky to be able to sleep whenever I want right now.
The husband is in Hong Kong spending some quality time with his mother, my mother-in-law. The mother-in-law is so excited about this baby that she spent $2000.00 USD on my maternity clothing. The hubs also bought me a new macro lens today. I can't wait for him to come back and present me with all the "treasures from the far East".
I am truly a blessed woman. Today I also found out that my mother's tummy was as smooth as rice cake when she was pregnant with me. For those of you who don't know, whether or not you'll get stretch marks on your tummy when you're pregnant solely depends on your genetics. So if the mother didn't have stretch marks then you won't have them either, because they simply won't disappear for the rest of your life once you get them, no matter what expensive creams you want to try to put on.
That is very comforting to know! It totally made my day. =DDD, pardon me for my silliness. I heard some pregnant women could get bitchy and mouthy, I hope I just remain silly with all these hormones going on inside of me. That'll be just enough right now. Thank you! ^_~

2009

In the beginning of this year, bad things happened one after another. My grandparents both went to emergency in different times. Tim's dad (my in-law) got a stroke. Later, my grandpa passed away. I thought 2009 is going to suck so bad, but I was wrong.
By the time May comes around, things start to look toward the bright side. I finished my requirements for my program on May 1st. Tim and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on May 5th. I had my Master's graduation on May 16th.
And today, what happened today? I found out that Tim and I are going to be parents next January!!!
How exciting. Praise my Father in heaven. He gives and takes away. So we just need to trust Him and continue living our lives in faithfulness. He'll make our paths straight!

My Nightmare

Last night I had a dream and it is still vivid in my mind. So before I forget it, let me describe it a little.

So I was in this shelter for the refugees, apparently, there has been war going on in my dream. I was staying there with my family and relatives, even relatives from China. We played around the refugee camp because it was in the mountains, and there were a lot of nature and it was not too bad. We lived like Chinese, ate like Chinese, talked like Chinese, everything was going well, and we were just having fun.

One day, the army announced that they were coming to each of our shelters and killing us all. So my family and I hid all day, afraid to be seen. At first there were a lot of us in the same room, then people start to lose patience, and some went out to see what was going on. In the end, my cousin and I were the only ones left in the shelter. I was becoming more frightened from being found, so I hid in the bathroom, thinking if there's a tunnel that I could hide in. Suddenly, an old soldier came in, but somehow he wasn't scary at all. He looked around the place, saw my cousin and I but didn't really seem to care. He looked some more, even down in the tunnel in the bathroom (boy, was I glad I didn't go in there). Then he found a shotgun, and he confiscated it. What happened next was that he simply walked away without saying anything or doing anything, especially not to us. I felt this incredible relief from my nightmare, then I woke up...

Pretty intense, but I am glad it has a happy ending. Well, sort of.

I started to photograph

I guess I've always loved to take pictures. You might ask what got me all started? I honest don't know the exact answer to that. When I hold a camera in my hand, it simply works with me naturally. I am just starting out, so there's a long way to go, but I hope you can stop by my photo blog from time to time and watch me grow in my photos.

Recital Pictures

Photo credit belongs to Ben Carroll, a friend that came to the recital who has a Canon 40D.

A talk with my teacher before the recital, but it wasn't anything serious, he was saying, "you look lovely! ...play well...see you afterward, etc."

Grapes | Glass

The grapes are from Stop and Shop, and the glass is from Target! They look like a good fit don't they?
