Death

Today as I saw the body of a neighbor of ours being carried into a hearse, and his loved ones hugging one another in tears seeing him off, my heart was broken once again as I was holding Sophie in my arms from a walk back home.

Death once again weighed down on me. Just this past weekend, Tim and I learned that a dear friend of ours ended his own life recently. As we are still grieving for that lost, here I am, witnessing another person gone.

What are we to do with our limited time on this earth? May God show me how to live a successful life in His eyes.

Life is short, love the people around you more! Above all, be transformed by the love of Christ and His eternal hope.

16 Weeks

This week, Sophie's personality is starting to show.
-She likes having her own space sometimes instead of being held.
-She enjoys quietness.
-She likes music.
-She finds nature comforting.
-She likes to smile, a lot! (Even when she had enough milk to drink and I still shove the bottle in her mouth, she would smile to reject, kills me every time!)
-She is very... ... simply put, Sophie! ^_^

Week 14

Today's weather is probably THE nicest in the history of Boston.
Sophie went for a photo shoot with Uncle Howard in the park. Yes, Uncle Howard is visiting, and they seem to have so much to say to one another. It's great!

Ok, enough playing, time to go home.

13 Weeks

Summer is officially here this week, though we had tornado 2 nights ago. It was quite scary with the lightning and thunder. The temperature remains hot however, which is a nice change from the icy winter.
Sophie was born on a snowy day. She doesn't like summer too much yet. She is more used to being bundled up and swaddled, but now with the summer clothes, she feels a bit...naked. One thing she overcame though, and that is bathes. She's no longer afraid of getting into the bath water because the temperature difference is not that huge compare to in the winter time.
She is getting big and more plumped for sure. I love the way she is now even though I also miss that newborn face.

This week, she has started trying to sit up on her own. It's super cute to see her struggle with the little body she has. I really want to jump in and help, but I know there are going to be many things in life which she will have to figure out on her own. Sorry baby, mommy loves you very very much!
