New School

School has started. It was a challenging process. New faces, new enviroment, new way to get to school...Everything is new. I was scared, I was afraid, I was intimidated. Everyone seems very on top of things, knows what they want in life. I feel lost, I don't know my purpose. But I trust God. He is strong when I am weak. I don't need to "TRY" to be somebody. I just have to be me. The me who's lost and weak and scared. It doesn't matter. Nothing else matters. Not success, not fame, not wealth, no what other people think; only what God thinks matters.

New Beginning

Live has been very been differnt lately. There are definitely lots of changes and lots of new things that I need to adapt to, but somehow I feel liberating! I feel free! Free to think, free to do, free to just be me. I love this freedom. I am not a child any more. I have the power to pursuit my own dreams and plans. I am at a place where nobody knows me. I can start fresh, forgetting all my mistakes, my failures, my faults, and just let my spirit be renewed and refreshed. I guess it's good to get away from where you are sometimes, it'll give you a whole new perspective of life. God has been blessing me silently all my life, and now He has taken me to a new hilltop. I might fall to the bottom of the valley, but then by His love and grace I might climb up to another hilltop that's higher and better. God is amazing. Like I have said many times and more, "I don't know what I'd do without Him."
I miss all my dear friends now separated in different parts of the world. I miss my family and relatives whom I love with all my heart. I hope that someday I'll be able to help them to see more things, help them become free and enjoy life just a little more.

Boston?

We're in Boston, close to Boston.
I love it. Not the city or anything, at least not yet, because I haven't really spent time in the city. It does look nice, and there seems to be a lot of stuff happening. I'm going to go with Dali to the Duck Tour next week hopefully, and get a little tour of Boston and it's history.
I love it. I love it because now I finally have a new place with my new wife. I love my wife. She's a wonderful cook, and she's very patient with me.
Boston... more like Chestnut Hill.

Boston

I love Boston! It's such a beautiful city with rich culture. Tim and I finally found our first home on the outskirts of Boston. We love our place so much that we wish we could move in right away. We went to IKEA to look at furnitures today. Tim said to me that this time we are actually buying furnitures for ourselves. Our place is lovely, it even has a Harry Potter closet next to the door way. I am really excited about living there. Praise God about all His doings. He not only led us here, He also protected us from a week of being on the road. He watched for our car and all the belongings we have inside it. He guided us when we got lost. He led us to the Realtor who not only did not charge a brokers fee but helped us found our dream home at the best deal ever. We almost couldn't believe the deal. Even our parents were so shocked that they started calling each other from Vancouver to California. Thanks to all the people who have been faithfully praying for us all this time. I hope we'll come to love Boston and start a new life together that honors God.

Wedding Day

I am finally back from Asia. I am doing some arranging of pictures from my wedding day. It's been 2 months. ^0^ I miss my relatives in China, I miss living in Hong Kong, and I miss Thai food in Thailand. Now that I am back in Vancouver, I am beginning to plan for Boston. It's quite hard because I don't really know the area and I don't know which apartments to look into. Internet can only tell you about the price, but it's another story when you have to actully live there. I heard that Boston is a university town where MIT, Harvard, BU and many other schools are located, so the housing over there is also run according to academic year. It's actually not consider early to rent an apartment there anymore. In fact, it's quite late. I hope everything will work out! If not, worse comes to worse, Tim and I will move to Alaska and be fishermen. ^^ If I live there I won't need any whitening lotion, I'll be as pale as the snow there. Silly silly.

My Xanga Post

Three fishes: Jazz, Big Daddy, and Shark

Dali and I like Jazz. He swims like he is about to die half the time, and always seems to be slower than all the other fishes. He is kind of stupid, but very friendly as well. He'll be one of the first one to swim up for food, not being afraid that I might poke him, and he's never afraid if I tap on the glass at him.

Big Daddy looks like Jazz, but a little bigger with white scales. He seems very quiet. He's normal in every way, and he minds his own business looking for food under rocks. He seems mature, and knows how to be a good goldfish.

Shark is a survivor. Dali's dad had him the longest. While all the other fishes would come and go, Shark remains. He's getting longer, and he swims the fastest. He's also bright, and very careful. He'll pull away when he senses me tapping the glass, or yelling into the fish tank.

I guess there's a harmony between them, until today. We feed the fishes once every two days, but today, I saw Jazz and decided to give him a little special treat. So, as usual I would put my hand on top of the water, and Jazz would swim up thinking there's food. Since, Big Daddy and Shark don't seem to give me the attention that Jazz does, I decided to give one whole piece of fish food to Jazz only. Jazz ate it. He likes it. He's a happy camper. Then, something strange happens. Shark goes mad. He starts chasing Jazz and Big Daddy around, like they wronged him. Shark was jealous that the only big chunk of fish food went to Jazz and not him. Shark was mad because he was left out.

I didn't like Shark picking on Big Daddy and Jazz. I felt like, I'm the giver and I get to choose who I want to bless with my awesome tasty treat. So, as all the fishes were waiting for more food to go into the tank, I got Big Daddy's attention, and I gave him one too. Which means, one for Jazz, one for Big Daddy, too bad for Shark.

Shark kept bullying and nipping at the fins of both Jazz and Big Daddy. Shark was left out, rejected, mistreated in a sense that everyone got treated with food except for him. Shark looks sad. He wanted the same blessing. He did what Jazz and Big Daddy did everyday, and he did his share of swimming and looking like a fish as much as the rest of them. Why didn't Shark get rewarded? Why didn't Shark get a piece of Tim Ng's wonderful blessing... I'm sorry Shark, Tim Ng is wrong for the first time, so I gave a piece to Shark also.

I would think that I'm a pretty good giver, because all three fishes got treated fairly. But I guess the fishes in the tank has a different idea. Jazz and Big Daddy's decided to go mad as well. They both started chasing Shark and bullying him back. They both took turns nipping away at Shark's fins (delicious if you had it before), and soon enough, Jazz wasn't all that innocent anymore. He started nipping at Big Daddy also.

The fishes in the tank have a different chemistry now. Nobody likes each other anymore. They take turns chasing and nipping at each other, and no one likes to be around each other. Who's responsible for that?

That what brings me back to Xanga. A thought that I have nowhere else to release.

God gave everyone something different, different parents, different sibblings, different psychological influences, different emotional acceptance, different friends, different amongs of material wealth, possessions, and the same question, why? It's never enough no matter what we get. I feel that some people are given more, and in my mind, I say, why? Am I mistreated? I still got what I need in the end, just like Shark did. But in the 15 minutes of no food and seeing both Jazz and Big Daddy enjoying swimming in an overweight belly, I want it too.

Fishes... how silly.

Humans... how silly.

My Birthday

Didn't update for awhile. I am so busy recently. Many things to do and to plan. The good thing is that I got accepted to University of Washington master's program. So at least now I have a place to go to, or plan to go to. I am still waiting on the other schools' replies, which will take awhile.
On my birthday, Tim took me to Standford Univeristy, and here are some pictures.

Sunny's wedding

Tim and I attended Sunny and YongHwan's wedding at Biola. This is my 3rd Biola wedding. It is indeed a really simple but elegant chapel to get married in. Tim wants to have it here after he saw their wedding. Hehe
This picture with my honey is actually the first we've taken as a couple since I've seem him last. It's been such a long time. Now he's finally back.

On my birthday, Tim and I went to Stanford University and also the university shopping center. We went for a drink and also walked around the beautiful campus.
